Richard Foster is known for his books on the spiritual life, most especially his best seller, The Celebration of Discipline. When he founded Renovare, his goal was to teach churches and church leaders to lead from the inside out. He believed then and does now that spiritual transformation is the foundation for all other change in the church. A few years ago The Jesus Connection began conversations with Renovare about mutual concerns. We, of course, affirm the need for spiritual deepening, but we also believe church structures need to be transformed for lasting change to happen. This month Renovare's newsletter, Perspective, will carry an article I wrote about The Jesus Connection as a way to introduce us to a larger audience. We are very excited about this, and invite you to go to the Renovare website to the July issue of Perspective. We also hope you will tell your friends and colleagues about it.
